Among SPEC work sites there are plenty of (so-called) designers with no morales, integrity or respect towards other designers and the design community and wouldn’t think twice about copying direct concepts from other designers for a quick buck.
Its embarassing to say the least and sites like Crowdspring are making plagiarism so easy for people to do.
Selvin Ortiz wrote an article on his blog about a fellow designer’s (Mike Erickson) work being ripped off by a member on Crowdspring.
Crowdspring - do whats right
Just thought I should give a little explanation for my rebrand, so here it is: Plain and simple, I just wanted a more professional look.
Its not so much that ‘Ezie Designs’ was amatuer or childish, it was more that I couldn’t see much of a connection with the name ‘Ezie’ and also the fact that many people were calling me that instead of my name. Seeing myself in 10 years time, i’d rather not be known as ‘Ezie’!
I will try and get a new logo for myself up soon when I find a little time.
Cheers!

The solution for this was a play on my real name: Euan Mackenzie. I took my first name intial and combined it with the last three letters of my surname: E-zie.
I felt this was a good solution as it is a word that does not exist making it unique and original.
At first I decided to call my freelance business ‘Ezie Designs’, however after a few months in use I felt that it was not strong enough and also the ‘Designs’ part brought down the uniqueness of it as so many designers end thier identity with ‘Designs’

These are my personal business cards that i recently designed. The red side is the front, the white is the back.
I wanted to create something very simple that had a strong impact. To do so I chose a strong and vibrant red colour.
The shape of my logo is split in half between the two sides of the business card.
The business cards were printed on 100-lb (265g/m²) Premium Matt Paper.
